About

I’m Sergei. Friends call me “המחולל” — roughly translates to “the one who sparks things into motion.” It stuck because that’s kind of what I do.

I’ve spent the last decade building things. ML pipelines that process half a million users a day. Backend systems for IoT sensors on beehives. Routing algorithms for autonomous vehicles. The kind of work where you need to understand both the code and the people writing it.

What I’ve learned: technical problems are rarely just technical. Usually there’s something about team structure, or unclear goals, or the wrong abstraction that’s the real issue. I got good at seeing both.

These days I work with companies that need someone who can go deep technically but also step back and ask “wait, should we even be building this?” Sometimes that’s hands-on development. Sometimes it’s helping a founder think through their architecture. Sometimes it’s sitting with a CTO and figuring out why their team is stuck.

I also do coaching — mostly with tech people who feel stuck in ways that aren’t about code. That’s a whole separate thing, in Hebrew, for now.
